BHSU STUDENT ASSISTS WITH VOLCANOLOGY FIELD RESEARCH

Last May, Black Hills State University student Raine Flick assisted BHSU associate professor of geology Dr. Abigail Domagall with field research in Idaho. For the last three years, Raine has helped Dr. Domagall with her research on large volcanic units associated with the Yellowstone hotspot. Through participating in this experience, Raine has expanded her research skills, presented data at the Geological Society of America conference, and overall feels more prepared for graduate school. Check out the video below to learn more about Raine’s experience and Dr. Domagall’s research.
