OFFICE 365 PRO PLUS

Black Hills State University students can access Office 365 Pro Plus to download and install on up to five personal computers. Additionally, currently enrolled students have access to the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint iPad apps, Office Mobile Android app, Windows Mobile apps, and 5 terabyte of web storage in OneDrive.

The software is managed by BHSU and linked to your Yellowjackets email account, so you don’t need to go through any additional verification or registration processes, just follow the FAQ below. If you encounter any problems accessing or installing the software, please contact the BHSU Helpdesk:

To access the Office Suite download, follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Apps and Devices section of your Office account in a web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.)

2. Log in using your Yellowjackets email and password

3. Select Install

4. A file will download and you can double-click that file to install office

Windows computers will receive Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Skype for Business, and OneDrive for Business

Macs will receive Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Skype for Business. If you want the OneDrive sync client for Mac, go here

**The full Office 365 Pro Plus service is only available to currently enrolled students. When a student graduates or stops actively pursuing a degree, the Office 365 license is removed from his or her account. Graduates will retain their Yellowjackets email addresses under an alumni license, but all other software licenses (OneDrive, Office 365 Pro Plus, and Office WebApps) will be removed. Students who are no longer taking classes and have not completed a degree program will not retain any of the software or services—including email. Please do not keep sensitive or important documents in your inbox or online storage; BHSU is not responsible for any loss of data caused by the aforementioned termination of services.**

1. Go to the Apps and Devices section of your Office account in a web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.)

3. Click the “Phone & tablet” link on the left side of the software page
